Job Description

We are seeking skilled Sailors and Marine Oilers to join our dynamic crew at Seafarers Ltd. The ideal candidates will have a passion for the sea and possess the necessary skills to operate and maintain our vessels while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute navigational duties as assigned by the officer on watch.
• Conduct safety checks and assist in emergency preparedness.
• Maintain operational readiness of all marine systems.
• Coordinate with maritime authorities during port calls.
• Document vessel activities and maintain compliance records.
• Participate in crew training sessions for skills enhancement.
• Support the Chief Mate in daily vessel operations.
• Assist with environmental compliance and waste management practices.
• Contribute ideas for operational efficiency and safety improvements.
• Act as a mentor to new crew members.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Additional maritime qualifications are a plus

Experience

• Experience as a Sailor or Marine Oiler is highly preferred

Certifications

• Advanced Fire Fighting Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
