Motion Picture Projectionist

Job Description

As a Motion Picture Projectionist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating projectors and related equipment for various events, including films, presentations, and corporate meetings. You will ensure the highest quality of audiovisual experiences for audiences by troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and test projectors before events to ensure they meet specifications.
• Cooperate with venue staff to align event requirements with technical setups.
• Ensure all display content is primed and ready for presentation.
• Maintain a system for tracking equipment usage and service records.
• Report any equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Assist in installing any necessary wiring or infrastructure for optimal setup.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in audiovisual technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in projection or audiovisual environments

Technical Skills

• Digital cinema standards
• 3D projection technology

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Interpersonal skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of digital cinema standards: Understanding of standards for digital cinema.
