Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Specialist to join our Pretoria office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to our clients, assisting them in achieving tax efficiency while adhering to the current tax legislation.

Responsibilities

• Review and finalize clients' tax returns and filings.
• Assess clients’ financial conditions and advise them on tax issues accordingly.
• Prepare compliance documents and review financial statements for accuracy.
• Conduct seminars or workshops on tax changes for clients.
• Assist in the development of internal tax processes and documentation.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance adherence.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a taxation role

Technical Skills

• SAP Tax Module
• Tax Compliance Software

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Client Relationship Management

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with international tax regulations: Understanding of cross-border taxation issues will be a plus.
• Experience in corporate tax strategies: Experience in advising businesses on corporate tax planning.
