Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Investigative Reporter to join our Durban team. You will be responsible for uncovering and reporting on significant issues that affect our community. If you have a strong journalistic background and are passionate about storytelling, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Research complex topics and produce well-structured investigative pieces.
• Interview individuals from various backgrounds to ensure diverse perspectives.
• Provide clear and compelling narratives that resonate with audiences.
• Monitor developments in ongoing investigations and adjust approaches as needed.
• Engage in ethical and responsible journalism at all times.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for story ideas with the editorial staff.
• Assist in compiling and editing multimedia content related to investigations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media Studies, or equivalent
• Postgraduate degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in investigative reporting or similar roles

• Digital Journalism

• MMA Certified Journalist

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
