Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play an essential role in our educational institution. Your responsibilities will include developing individualized learning plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with parents and other educators to ensure a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and determine the specific educational needs of each student.

• Regularly communicate with interdisciplinary teams to provide consistent support for students.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Psychology
• Master’s degree in Education is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in special education settings

Certifications

• Certified Autism Specialist
• Sensory Integration Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans/Zulu: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages.
