Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles and be experienced in project management. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing various construction projects, ensuring they meet both safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project documentation and drawings.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies for approvals and permits.
• Review project designs for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Oversee the quality control of materials used in construction.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Utilize CAD software for civil design projects.
• Implement innovative engineering techniques and methodologies.
• Evaluate and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
• Prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of engineering staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in managing civil projects
