Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will monitor and protect our systems from cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information while developing and implementing security measures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts for potential incidents.
• Provide expertise in the area of security controls and technologies.
• Work with management to define security strategy and alignment.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans.
• Collaborate with external partners for security assessments as needed.
• Support the development of a company-wide security awareness program.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Professional security certifications preferred (CISSP, CEH)

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SIEM Tools: Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management tools.
• Scripting Skills: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
