Product Designer

Job Description

As a Product Designer in our Johannesburg office, you will be tasked with creating user-centered designs that solve real problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, gathering user feedback and translating insights into design strategies. Your role will involve conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and iterating on designs to improve usability and aesthetic appeal.

Responsibilities

• Support the product team in creating a cohesive visual language.
• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions for design innovation.
• Implement best practices in usability and accessibility in all designs.
• Track and analyze metrics to measure the success of design changes.
• Foster a collaborative atmosphere across departments to drive design success.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through training and mentoring.
• Utilize analytics to inform and guide design enhancements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field
• Master's degree in UX/UI Design or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in UX/UI product design

Technical Skills

• Prototyping Tools (InVision, Axure)
• User Research Techniques

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• UX Certification by NNgroup
• Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with A/B testing software: Experience with tools like Optimizely for A/B testing.
• Experience in Responsive Design: Knowledge of designing for multiple screen sizes and devices.
