We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in Richards Bay. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical processes and an innovative approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing production processes, conducting research and development, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scale-up processes from pilot to full production.
• Engage in product lifecycle management activities.
• Administer budget management for engineering projects.
• Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Facilitate team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Act as a liaison between R&D and production teams.
• Review and validate technical specifications for equipment.
• Implement laboratory-scale tests to validate new processes.
• Encourage a culture of safety and quality within the engineering team.
• Establish metrics for process improvement and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in chemical production or process engineering
