DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Johannesburg office. The role focuses on enhancing our cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring high availability of services. You will work closely with development and IT operations teams, advocating for the best practices in DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in cloud management.
• Implement container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide technical support to the development teams on deployment issues.
• Ensure backups and disaster recovery processes are in place.
• Evaluate and implement new cloud tools and technologies.
• Document workflows and infrastructure setups for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in DevOps environments

• Terraform
• Monitoring Tools

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
