Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional support services to our clients in Port Elizabeth. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset are vital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support to helpdesk tickets and client requests.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Educate clients on software and hardware usage.
  • Assist with the implementation of new IT solutions.
  • Keep comprehensive documentation of all support interactions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze workflow and recommend technological upgrades.
  • Provide backup support during peak periods and outages.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (A+, N+ or similar) are a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
