Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Music Teacher to join our faculty in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to inspire and motivate students of various ages in their musical journeys. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, teaching musical theory and practical skills, and preparing students for performances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and use of musical instruments provided by the school.
• Organize end-of-term showcases that highlight student progress.
• Involve in community outreach programs to promote music education.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student music ensembles.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Music or Education
• Additional qualifications in music pedagogy are a plus

Experience

• Experience with primary and secondary school learners preferred.

Technical Skills

• Guitar skills
• Orchestral conducting

• Creativity
• Organization

Certifications

• Music Certification from a recognized institution
• Child Protection Policy training

Languages

• Afrikaans: Intermediate
• English: Fluent
