Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Music Teacher to join our faculty in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to inspire and motivate students of various ages in their musical journeys. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, teaching musical theory and practical skills, and preparing students for performances.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging music curriculum for various age groups.
  • Teach students about music theory, history, and practical skills.
  • Prepare students for recitals and performances, ensuring readiness and confidence.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and creative classroom environment that encourages musical exploration.
  • Collaborate with other teachers in organizing school music events and concerts.
  • Keep up with music education trends and best practices to enhance teaching methods.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or Education
  • Additional qualifications in music pedagogy are a plus
Experience
  • Experience with primary and secondary school learners preferred.
