Job Description

As a Machine Feeder and Offbearer, you will be responsible for setting up and operating folding machines to ensure efficient folding of materials like paper and cardboard. This role is critical in maintaining production quality and smooth operation of machines.

Responsibilities

• Feed print material into folding machines efficiently.
• Ensure all safety checks are completed before commencing operations.
• Work closely with quality control teams to guarantee production standards.
• Manage workflows effectively to enhance operational efficiency.
• Document and report maintenance needs or machine issues immediately.
• Engage in team discussions to enhance production strategies.
• Complete necessary training to remain compliant with operational standards.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Print Finishing Supervisor.
• Ensure a high level of teamwork and communication within the production team.
• Assist in training sessions for improved machine handling techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical training in machine operation or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Technical Skills

• Ability to follow instructions
• Physical stamina

Soft Skills

• Flexibility and adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in quality control: Background in inspecting and assessing product quality.
