Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Food Scientist to join our innovative team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing new food products and improving existing formulations. This position requires a strong understanding of food chemistry and the ability to conduct rigorous testing to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and document the nutritional content of new food products.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source quality ingredients.
  • Implement testing protocols to ensure product quality and stability.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team regarding product specifications.
  • Research and apply new technologies in food processing and preservation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or a related field
  • Master's degree in Food Science is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years in food product development in an industrial setting
