IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to provide technical support and assistance to our clients in Bloemfontein. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring a smooth operation of technology within the organization. Ideal candidates should have a knack for solving problems and a keen interest in technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for a variety of software applications and hardware.
• Assist users with setup and troubleshooting of software applications.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Train employees on basic software/hardware use.
• Document and report on service performance to management.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Computer Science or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years in a technical support role

Technical Skills

• ITIL Foundations Certification

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a fast-paced environment: Ability to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced IT setting.
• Understanding of cloud services: Basic knowledge of cloud services like AWS or Azure is advantageous.
