Security Engineer

Job Description

Cyber Tech Solutions is on the lookout for an experienced Security Engineer based in Pretoria. Your main responsibilities include assessing security risks, implementing security solutions, and providing ongoing support to our cybersecurity infrastructure. You will engage in threat hunting and incident response while fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee comprehensive security measures to ensure data integrity.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security within existing systems.
• Respond to incidents and conduct root cause analysis for security breaches.
• Draft and maintain security documentation, including policies and procedures.
• Evaluate new security tools and solutions to enhance operational capabilities.
• Stay abreast of current security trends and advancements in cybersecurity.
• Conduct security training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Preferred cybersecurity certifications (CISM, CCSP, etc.)

Experience

• 4-6 years of relevant experience

• Familiarity with pentesting tools: Knowledge of tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, or similar.
