Job Description

As a Civil Engineer in our Durban office, you will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to create infrastructure solutions that benefit the community. A solid background in civil design software and project execution is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site inspections to verify project specifications.
• Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
• Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
• Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment with community needs.
• Supervise onsite construction activities and coordinate with contractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and progress reports.
• Ensure quality control throughout all phases of projects.
• Utilize engineering software for project planning and design.
• Participate in the training and development of junior engineers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil engineering projects

• AutoCAD

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
