Job Description

As a Data Scientist in our Johannesburg division, you will apply your analytics expertise to solve business problems through data interpretation and modeling. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to identify their needs and deliver forecasts, patterns, and insights. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in statistics, programming, and a passion for data-driven storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data mining frameworks.
• Engage with business leaders to translate data problems into actionable insights.
• Visualize complex data insights in simple and clear ways for stakeholders.
• Stay informed on data science best practices and emerging technologies.
• Conduct training sessions for non-technical stakeholders on data interpretation.
• Collaborate in developing KPIs and other performance metrics.

Advantageous

• Experience working in Agile environments: Experience in Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello.
• Familiarity with deep learning concepts: Understanding of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
