Job Description

We are seeking a talented Automotive Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have a passion for automotive technology and be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions to enhance vehicle performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering solutions for automotive challenges.
• Test and validate automotive systems for quality assurance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies.
• Conduct research to support product development initiatives.
• Create 3D models and simulations for new designs.
• Attend industry conferences to represent the company.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in the department.
• Ensure all engineering practices align with company policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Engine Design

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• ISO 9001 Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Autonomous Vehicle technology: Understanding of the principles behind autonomous vehicle systems.
• Experience in hybrid vehicle design: Expertise in the engineering of hybrid systems and components.
