We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing medical care and support to a range of animals, assisting veterinarians in procedures and ensuring top-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with veterinary staff to develop and implement animal care plans.
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Guide pet owners in post-operative care and recovery processes.
• Conduct health screenings on incoming patients.
• Participate in community outreach to promote animal welfare and health education.
• Assist in managing the daily operations of the clinic.
• Support the veterinary team in providing exceptional client service.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing
• Degree in Veterinary Care is an advantage

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in veterinary or animal care

Certifications

• Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
