Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of environmental legislation and sustainable practices. You will work closely with clients to assess their environmental impact and develop strategies for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and data collection on environmental conditions.
• Provide expert advice on waste reduction and resource conservation.
• Prepare proposals for environmental consulting projects.
• Engage with clients to assess their specific environmental needs.
• Participate in public consultations and forums regarding environmental issues.
• Work with governmental and non-governmental organizations on initiatives.
• Draft environmental management plans tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate on research projects related to sustainability.
• Evaluate the environmental performance of projects post-implementation.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on assessment findings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's or higher qualification is an advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years of professional experience in environmental consulting

Certifications

• Professional Environmental Scientist (PES)
• Environmental Conservation Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
