Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to be part of our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing technical support to our users, ensuring all IT systems operate efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining networks, and ensuring systems security.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical support queries from staff members.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Assist with software licensing and compliance.
• Ensure all IT equipment is functional and up to date.
• Assist with the backup and recovery of data.
• Provide support for audio-visual equipment used in meetings.
• Collaborate on projects to improve IT systems and processes.
• Deliver IT training sessions to staff as needed.
• Manage IT service requests through the helpdesk system.
• Provide reports on IT support metrics and performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or technical assistance

• Linux OS

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
