Job Description

We are on the lookout for an IT Support Technician to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in IT support, troubleshooting, and customer service. This role involves handling technical inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring our systems run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests.
  • Manage user accounts and access rights.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on systems and applications.
  • Assist in the development of IT policies and best practices.
  • Support IT administration tasks such as asset management.
  • Collaborate with external vendors on hardware and software solutions.
  • Provide feedback to improve IT services and processes.
  • Help in the implementation of new IT projects and rollouts.
  • Participate in team and departmental meetings.
  • Train junior IT staff as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Any relevant IT certifications are a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT support role
