Accountant

Job Description

As an Accountant with us, you’ll directly contribute to our mission of providing exceptional financial services. You will be responsible for financial reporting, maintaining accurate records, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. You should bring strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage financial reports for senior management.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of monthly statements.
• Analyze cash flow and allocate resources accordingly.
• Review and recommend changes to accounting policies and procedures.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to streamline financial processes.
• Conduct training sessions for junior staff on accounting practices.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and suggest improvements.
• Prepare budgets and assist in forecasting financial trends.
• Assist with payroll management and employee financial queries.
• Maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
• Masters in Accounting or relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles

Certifications

• CIMA or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Xero accounting software: Experience with Xero or similar platforms for managing accounts.
• Prior experience in a client-facing accounting role: Background in working directly with clients on financial matters.
