Responsibilities

• Analyze actuarial data to support estimates of future claims.
• Enhance data-visualization processes using modern BI tools.
• Contribute to internal audits and control-related tasks.
• Identify areas for improvement within the actuarial functions.
• Review and refine actuarial assumptions and methodologies.
• Engage in actuarial research and development activities.
• Assist in pricing proposals and tender submissions.
• Coordinate information flow across teams for comprehensive analysis.
• Support actuarial audits and interact with external regulators.
• Conduct various scenario analyses to assess business strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the actuarial field or insurance industry

• Excel

Certifications

• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)
• Similar actuarial qualification is an advantage

Languages
