Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Stockroom Manager to oversee the inventory processes in our Pretoria store. The ideal candidate will have experience in stock control and a knack for optimizing workflows to ensure timely product availability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of stock management, from receiving shipments to organizing stockroom layout.
  • Ensure stockroom efficiency by optimizing space and reducing clutter.
  • Monitor and evaluate stockroom performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and implement best practices for stock management.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and resolve any delivery issues promptly.
  • Assist the finance team in monitoring stock valuation and inventory costing.
  • Lead by example in maintaining a tidy and safe stockroom environment.
  • Encourage staff to suggest improvements to existing inventory processes.
  • Monitor product expiry dates and manage stock rotation effectively.
  • Prepare and present reports on stockroom operations to senior management.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric Certificate or equivalent
  • Diploma or degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of stockroom management experience or related field

  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • English: Fluent
