Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist in medical procedures, and ensure that all patients receive compassionate support throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care that prioritizes patient comfort and safety.
• Perform routine check-ups and vital signs monitoring.
• Assist in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients.
• Facilitate communication between patients and doctors.
• Implement infection control measures.
• Participate in staff meetings and provide input on nursing practices.
• Help with patient discharge planning.
• Engage in community health outreach programs.
• Mentor and support junior staff and nursing students.
• Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in nursing practice.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Specialization in Critical Care or similar discipline is beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in nursing with supervisory experience preferred

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively with a wider patient demographic.
