Job Description

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for overseeing prescription medications, advising patients on proper medication use, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes in our Durban pharmacy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and relevant legislation.
  • Monitor patient medication therapies and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in developing patient care plans and medication reviews.
  • Participate in pharmacy outreach programs and health awareness campaigns.
  • Oversee the pharmacy's daily operations and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Educate patients on health and wellness topics, including disease prevention.
  • Handle prescription refills and insurance verifications efficiently.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting
