Job Description

HealthPlus Pharmacy is looking for a knowledgeable Pharmacist to deliver exceptional patient care by recommending appropriate medications and managing prescriptions effectively. You will be integral in promoting health and well-being in the Pretoria community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package medications for patient dispensing.
• Advise healthcare professionals on drug interactions and contraindications.
• Utilize pharmacy software to manage inventory effectively.
• Support clinical pharmacy services in the healthcare facility.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and medication adherence.
• Review scientific literature to stay informed about new therapies.
• Facilitate controlled substance audits and record-keeping.
• Engage in patient-care committees to improve medication safety.
• Assist in the development of patient education materials.
• Promote a patient-centered care approach within the pharmacy.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Pharmacy Management or related field is a plus

Experience

• Experience in a clinical pharmacy role is advantageous.
