Job Description

We are looking for a qualified pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a crucial role in enhancing patient health and wellbeing within our community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the compounding of medications according to standard procedures.
• Conduct patient consultations and answer queries effectively.
• Help manage pharmacy budgets and financial operations.
• Evaluate new pharmacy technologies for implementation.
• Assist in marketing pharmacy services to the community.
• Educate patients about chronic illness management.
• Maintain updated knowledge of pharmaceuticals and regulations.
• Mentor and train junior staff and interns.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is welcoming and clean.
• Engage in health promotion activities and patient education workshops.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Certification in Clinical Pharmacy is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a community pharmacy setting

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist Licence

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in immunizations and health screening: Knowledge of and experience in conducting immunizations.
• Certification in Diabetes Education: Preferred certification for managing diabetic patients.
