Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our Johannesburg office. This position involves quantifying risk and creating pricing models. You will collaborate with various departments to analyse trends and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of regular actuarial reports and analytics.
• Engage with clients to understand key business drivers.
• Implement actuarial techniques to enhance performance.
• Deliver presentations to communicate results and recommend actions.
• Research and evaluate new statistical methodologies to improve accuracy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent
• Master's degree is preferred for more senior roles

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in actuarial roles within the insurance industry.

• Data Modeling
• Financial Software (e.g. Prophet)

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
