Structural Engineer

Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Structural Engineer to become part of our team in Klerksdorp. In this role, you’ll analyze a range of construction designs and provide recommendations to ensure structural integrity. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction materials and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the design process for structural components.
• Work with project teams to troubleshoot structural issues as they arise.
• Perform calculations and analyses of structural loads and stresses.
• Document the design process and maintain project files.
• Coordinate with external consultants on complex projects.
• Ensure quality control measures are enforced throughout project phases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Matlab

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Communication
• Project management

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license

Languages

• English: Fluent
