Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to join our dedicated team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public health, community outreach, and experience in health promotion activities. This role involves coordinating public health programs, analyzing health data, and fostering community partnerships to enhance health initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to improve health literacy in the community.
  • Conduct training for staff on public health protocols.
  • Research emerging health issues that may affect the community.
  • Prepare grant proposals to secure funding for health programs.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for public health campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
  • Actively participate in health fairs and community events.
  • Monitor trends in health outcomes and suggest policy improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in public health programs or initiatives
