Veterinarian

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinarian to enhance our practice. In this role, you will be involved in diagnosing, treating, and preventing health problems in animals, collaborating with pet owners to promote better health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat health issues in a variety of animal species.
• Perform preventive health care including vaccination and spaying/neutering.
• Oversee laboratory tests and interpret results.
• Provide nutritional guidance and wellness advice to clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with practices.
• Work collaboratively with a team of veterinary professionals.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Registered with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience working in veterinary practice.

• Background in animal behaviour: Understanding of animal behaviour to enhance treatment and handling.
