UI Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a creative UI Designer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for aesthetics and detail, contributing to the development of user-centric web and mobile interfaces. You will collaborate with UX designers and developers to ensure the delivery of delightful user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into engaging visual designs.
• Work alongside UX researchers to incorporate user feedback into design.
• Collaborate with developers to implement designs and troubleshoot issues.
• Create design documentation and specifications.
• Lead brainstorming sessions with the design team.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance.
• Stay informed of best practices in UI design and accessibility standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field
• Master's degree or additional training in UI design is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in creating user interfaces

Technical Skills

• InVision
• JavaScript

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with accessibility standards: Knowledge in WCAG and designing for accessibility.
• Experience with user research methods: Familiarity with various user research methodologies to improve design decisions.
