Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our team in Durban. This role involves developing and implementing public health programs, assessing community health needs, and promoting health education initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for community health and experience in public health interventions.

Responsibilities

• Implement health surveillance programs and report findings.
• Create educational materials to inform the community about health issues.
• Work with healthcare providers to enhance service delivery.
• Advocate for health resources and funding at local government levels.
• Evaluate community feedback to adjust health programs as necessary.
• Utilize social media and other platforms for health promotion.
• Support health research initiatives by collecting and analyzing data.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in community health or similar roles

• Research Methodologies

Advantageous
