Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of pharmacotherapy, patient management, and medication safety. You will play a crucial role in optimizing patient outcomes through effective medication therapy management and collaborating closely with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient medication therapies and optimize pharmaceutical care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to evaluate treatment plans.
  • Conduct medication therapy management sessions.
  • Educate patients regarding safe medication practices.
  • Identify and resolve medication discrepancies.
  • Stay current with pharmaceutical research and guidelines.
  • Assist in managing pharmacy inventory and supplies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy interns.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years experience in clinical pharmacy practice
