Forensic Accountant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Forensic Accountant who will play a key role in investigating financial discrepancies and providing accurate financial reports. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and auditing, as well as expertise in forensic investigative techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits and reviews of financial documents to identify areas of risk.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as necessary to investigate fraud cases.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Deliver presentations on forensic findings to stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations.
• Assist in the development of compliance programs and internal controls.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant field
• Master’s degree is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in forensic auditing or forensic analysis

Certifications

• ACCA
• CIMA

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Multi-language proficiency: Ability to communicate in other South African languages is a plus.
