We are on the lookout for a detailed-oriented Technical Writer based in Port Elizabeth to create user-friendly documentation for our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a knack for simplifying complex information and a strong understanding of technical subject matter.

Responsibilities

• Write detailed technical documents that meet the needs of the audience.
• Engage with subject matter experts to extract essential information.
• Edit and proofread documents for grammatical accuracy and clarity.
• Establish and curate a documentation style guide.
• Design templates and reusable content to streamline processes.
• Evaluate user feedback to improve documentation quality.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in documentation processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication or related discipline is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing in a software or engineering context

Technical Skills

• Content Management Systems
• XML/HTML

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of UX design principles: Understanding of user experience principles to create more effective documentation.
