Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant who is passionate about the environment and sustainability. In this role, you will assess environmental risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide expert guidance to clients. Your ability to work collaboratively and think critically will be essential to success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys and environmental audits.
• Advise clients on risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Support project management team with environmental compliance.
• Develop sustainability reports and guide clients on improvements.
• Analyze data and present findings to stakeholders.
• Engage with local communities regarding environmental initiatives.
• Research and develop sustainability strategies for clients.
• Assist in the preparation of public comments and responses.
• Facilitate workshops and informational sessions for stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years within environmental consulting roles

Technical Skills

• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
• Sustainability Reporting

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Leadership

Certifications

• Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (FIEMA)
• LEED Accredited Professional (AP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in stakeholder engagement: Proven track record of engaging with stakeholders for project success.
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems: Understanding of renewable energy processes and technologies.
