Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to reinforce our cybersecurity framework in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the protection of sensitive data and deployment of security measures. You will actively monitor network activities, respond to incidents, and implement security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Implement cybersecurity best practices across the organization.
• Conduct training sessions for employees on data security.
• Coordinate with law enforcement on cybercrime investigations.
• Perform risk assessments and develop remediation strategies.
• Manage security tools and software solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Cybersecurity

Experience

• 2-4 years in cybersecurity or IT security

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with penetration testing: Practical experience in testing security measures through penetration testing.
• Knowledge of GDPR regulations: Understanding of data protection regulations applicable to South Africa.
