Job Description

Join our team as a Mental Health Technician in vibrant Cape Town. You will support the mental health professionals in providing top-notch care to patients. Your role will involve direct patient interaction, helping to implement treatment plans and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient behavior or condition.
  • Provide support in daily living activities and self-care.
  • Engage patients in recreational and therapeutic activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in community outreach and mental health awareness programs.
  • Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients’ rights and needs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • Additional training in mental health therapies is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a mental health or healthcare setting
