Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Choral Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a passion for teaching young students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in vocal techniques and music theory.
• Encourage student participation in choir and vocal events.
• Organize and lead community music events.
• Assess individual and group performance levels.
• Engage students in music technology and music notation software.
• Foster a positive learning environment that promotes student creativity.
• Recruit students from various grades for the choir.
• Mentor students interested in pursuing music as a career.
• Engage parents in music programs through regular communication.
• Develop innovative strategies to keep students motivated.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Education or related field
• Certification in Music Education preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching choral music.

Technical Skills

• Strong vocal and musical skills
• Familiarity with music software and tools

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage students

Certifications

• Certification in Music Education

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience leading music festivals or competitions: Background in organizing or participating in musical performances at events.
• Knowledge of additional instruments: Experience or proficiency with other musical instruments beyond voice.
