Job Description

As a Log Grader and Scaler, you will play a critical role in sourcing timber while ensuring compliance with sustainability standards. You will engage with suppliers, manage procurement processes, and optimize supply chains to ensure timely delivery to our manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of logs, ensuring alignment with sustainability standards.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving procurement efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive reports summarising procurement activities and supplier performance.
• Work closely with the sales team to align procurement with demand forecasts.
• Participate in industry events to network and gather market intelligence.
• Assist in the negotiation of international trade contracts as necessary.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in forestry regulations and policies.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Forestry, Business, or Supply Chain Management

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the forestry or procurement industry
