Job Description

The Gear Hobber will be responsible for producing precision gears using a hobbing machine. You will play a crucial role in setting up and operating the machinery to manufacture high-quality gear products.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate gear hobbing machines to manufacture gears according to specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for various jobs.
• Measure and inspect components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Document production and quality data for management review.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors to address any production challenges.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in operating gear hobbing machines or similar equipment.

Technical Skills

• CNC machine operation
• Skills in precision measuring equipment

Soft Skills

• Good communication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Advantageous

• Experience with CAD software: Ability to use CAD software for designing parts and assemblies.
• Experience with gear cutting tools and equipment: Hands-on experience with gear cutting tools to enhance production efficiency.
