Pharmacist

Job Description

As a pharmacist at Healthcare Solutions Inc., be at the forefront of patient health. You will dispense medications, counsel patients on proper medication use, and work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician prescriptions for accuracy.
• Counsel patients regarding drug interactions, contraindications, and appropriate medication use.
• Provide necessary medication support for chronic disease management.
• Participate in health promotion and wellness initiatives.
• Conduct drug utilization reviews and ensure quality assurance.
• Assist in the training and development of pharmacy staff.
• Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and patient care.
• Contribute to patient education programs and materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council is mandatory

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy environment preferred
