The ideal candidate will have experience in designing clothing collections, from concept through to production. With your innovative ideas and strong fashion sense, you will help shape our brand identity while collaborating closely with our production team.

Responsibilities

• Create original and innovative fashion designs that appeal to the target market.
• Utilize CAD software to create patterns and sketches.
• Mentor and train junior design staff on best practices.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead in trends.
• Work with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional materials.
• Facilitate workshops to inspire creativity within the team.
• Establish timelines for design projects and adhere to deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in commercial fashion design

Technical Skills

• Fashion CAD Software
• Garment Fitting

• Negotiation Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
