Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. A strong understanding of tax legislation and excellent analytical skills will be essential for this role. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing our clients' tax strategies and advising them on potential tax benefits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and apply tax compliance regulations.
• Prepare and review tax filings for accuracy.
• Assist clients in understanding their tax liabilities.
• Conduct financial impact analyses of proposed tax changes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities.
• Participate in ongoing education to keep skills relevant.
• Review and enhance tax processes for effectiveness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role

Certifications

• Registered Tax Agent certification
• CPA certification (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent
