Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. A strong understanding of tax legislation and excellent analytical skills will be essential for this role. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing our clients' tax strategies and advising them on potential tax benefits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion and accuracy of tax returns.
• Advise clients on a variety of tax matters and implications.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and inquiries.
• Work with accounting and finance teams to synchronize tax efforts.
• Analyze financial data for tax reporting purposes.
• Stay informed about the latest tax regulations and changes.
• Provide training to junior tax staff on compliance issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role

Certifications

• Registered Tax Agent certification
