Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacist in Durban where you will play a crucial role in patient care and medication management. You will be responsible for dispensing medication, providing consultation to patients, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Ensure that all medications are displayed and stored according to safety standards.
  • Provide immunizations and health screenings as part of patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities within the pharmacy.
  • Implement patient safety initiatives and manage risk effectively.
  • Assist in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely communication with patients regarding their prescriptions.
  • Provide support during audits and inspections.
  • Mentor pharmacy interns and students.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy
