Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Insurance Underwriter in Cape Town to assess risks and determine policy terms for clients. If you have strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, you could play a vital role in supporting the growth of our insurance portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risks associated with insurance applications.
• Draft policies that meet the needs of both the insurer and the client.
• Work closely with brokers to provide timely service.
• Conduct periodic reviews of accounts and policies.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Utilize underwriting software to input and analyze data.
• Assist in training new staff on underwriting guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss underwriting strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Insurance certification is preferred

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in underwriting or related field
